    The product wors as advertised to extend the number of ports in a mac or windows computer. The design seems to be not sturdy and doesn't fit completely to side of the computer, often ejecting unintended ports. It is very easy to use without much hassle, but the sturdiness could be improved so it doesn't move when inserting or ejecting equipments/flash drives. I often worry it is going to break the port as it moves so easily.

    Als Produkttester im Amazon-Vine-Programm habe ich den USB-C Hub Adapter kostenlos bestellt und veröffentliche im Gegenzug meine unvoreingenommene Produktrezension.

    Ein sehr gelungenes Produkt, das sich auch verkleinern lässt. Eine wirklich sehr gute Idee. Ich nutze es z. B. am Surface Go 2 oder mit verschiedenen Android Tablets. Die Geschwindigkeit und die Zuverlässigkeit überzeugen voll und ganz. Es ist ein sehr leichter HUB, den man wirklich überall mitnehmen kann.

    Ich suchte eine Lösung, um einen USB-Monitor mit Touch-Bildschirm mit den oben genannten Geräten zu verwenden. Leider war ich nicht in der Lage, mit dem HUB und nur einem USB-C Kabel auszukommen. Der HUB bietet diesen Anschluss dann nicht an, und die Monitore hatten nur 1 x USB C für Touch und 1 x USB C zur reinen Stromversorgung. So konnte ich den HUB zwar verwenden, musste jedoch auf die Touch-Technik verzichten.

    Das Produkt ist sehr gut, seine Verwendungsabsicht scheiterte einzig an den USB-Monitoren, leider. Dennoch ist das Produkt sehr zu empfehlebn und ich werde ihn auch weiterhin verwenden.

    Use the PD-100 port to give new life to your old peripherals

    I discovered that I couldn’t run my old external CD/DVD drive on my M3 MacBook Air. It has a USB-A connector, but even with an adapter it couldn’t draw enough power from the USB-C port to spin up. This adapter saved the day: just plug a USB-C charging cable into the PD-100W port, then plug your Superdrive/external DVD into one of the USB-A ports and voila! Works like a charm.

    One of the most frustrating things is that my MacBook doesn't come with enough ports, I am constantly having to get adapters and I just wanted to get something that was sleek and easy to use. This is where this hub came in.

    The hub itself is made of a really nicely anodised metal. The finishing is superb and really looks the part alongside my new MacBook Pro. The unit splits into two pieces, however its advised that you connect the two as otherwise there is a lot of strain put on a single USB-C port. Once both USB-C's are connected, this makes a really strong connection to the board giving little to no wobble.

    The hub has six ports on it, a HDMI out, USB-C in for power, two USB-A's, and two USB-C's. This means that all of my old peripherals like mice and keyboards cna be plugged in using the USB A's and then the USB-C ports are still available, all while being able to do 100W of charging.

    The only downside I have found is finding the right charger for this. A couple of my chargers did not like the hub, allowing me to charge directly fine but having issues with disconnection when using the hub. However after finding the right one, I have had no issues.

    Overall. I can highly recommend this. The unit is so well made that it warrants the £29.99 price tag. The additional ports and useage makes this a game changer to MacBook users out there who have been downgraded from having three ports to just two! 5/5, this gives needed functionality back!

    This dock/hub has a nice quality feel to it with an aluminium body and sleek design that suits the MacBook well. Doing away with the short cable in favour of mounting directly to the MacBook’s two USB-C ports is a neat idea especially if using it on the go as it can be left fitted. The HDMI portion can be separated for use as a stand alone USB-C to HDMI adaptor which is handy. I don’t however recommend using the larger portion of the hub without the HDMI portion attached (despite this use case being shown in the product listing images) as the entire unit is left hanging from the single USB-C connector right at the end, undoubtably putting excessive load on the USB-C port if you have lots of devices plugged in. Personally I will be keeping this hub joined together so the load can be spread across two USB-C ports.

    Obviously this hub isn’t going to fit if you are using a thin shell case on your MacBook, and will also need removing if you carry it in a sleeve.

    There is a good selection of ports that will cover you for almost all scenarios, including PD 100W charging to still permit USB-C powering of your MacBook. Priced at £30 at time of review this is fairly priced given the devices specs and build quality.

    Compact and capable of powering my iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen

    I was looking for a hub that has both multiple USB-A and C ports and not bulky. This one checks all requirements for me. One thing to remember is that you'll still need to power your laptop (in my case MacBook Air M1) directly, just like any USB-C hug, this one can't power two devices at once. Nobody to blame, just physics.

    PS. After using the thing for more than a month, I've discovered that every once in a while I can hear some hissing sounds from the device, when I have my iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen plugged in (it's my Sidecar device for a MacBook Air) along with the external mic and USB receiver for the mouse.

    So just to be save I'm going to use it on occasion with my iPad Pro but going back to Vital adapter with my MacBook Air.
