Not perfect, but works better than competitors
I'm using this with an Galaxy S24 Ultra and Ford Sync3. I sometimes get issues with it connecting and need to either disconnect my Bluetooth headphones or tell the phone to sync with the adapter's Bluetooth. I had the same issues with the competing adapter, so it may be an issue with the phone. This adapter is smaller and has a metal case, so it doesn't seem to get as hot. It still blocks my other port since the USB connector is at the bottom edge of the adapter, although a short USB-A extension cord would correct that, but one isn't included. The USB-C converter works well. Occasionally, the other adapter will get an error message that the USB device isn't recognized. This one seems to be recognized sooner and connect faster. Once it connects, it's fast and will show satellite images or 3D buildings on Google Maps without any problem.

    Small Form Factor, Great Performance

    Love the small form factor – can be plugged in my Android Auto/Apple Carplay USB port on my 2020 Subaru Outback and give access to the center console storage bin (something you can't do if running a cable to your phone. Connectivity was slow to establish at first, but connects much faster afterwards.

    My only complaint is if you want to connect another device, or switch devices. The process is called out in the instructions, but it doesn't work smoothly or well at the first try.

    One other concern, he device does get a little warm, I don't know how it would hold up on a long road trip. I would also be concerned if the Acces USB Port is buried inside a console without adequate airflow. Not a problem for my car, but every car model is different…

    One tip, if audio coming across differently than expected, make sure the audio settings aren't the cause. I noticed Dolby Atmos does not play back very well. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase

    It's really small…easy to see status light if you need to…and worked right out of the box for me on my 2023 Porsche Cayman S. I used the input hidden in the center arm rest storage area. The only thing that I had to do, after following the initial "connect to Bluetooth on my phone" setup I shut the car down and then restated and the system synced up no problem.

    I am replacing an Ottocast that was about 3 years old and this mini cube connects faster and has less of a delay than my old one…and it takes up hardly any room at all. Very happy with it.

    Would give zero stars if I could. The static and audio dropping out on this is horrible. Music plays fine, but anything with voice like navigation or phone calls have so much static and audio drop outs it makes it useless. I’ve had CarLink devices that work flawlessly in this same car (2021 Porsche Cayman), but ordered this one due to its ultra compact nature. Will be returning. DO NOT BUY

    Un petit produit en USB sert à délivrer du CarPlay (ou du Android Auto) en sans fil WiFi et Bluetooth si déjà présent dans la voiture, donc en général après 2015/16.
    On va donc le connecter sur le port USB de la voiture (qui doit être nativement CarPlay ou Android) et il va générer un réseau WiFi dans l'habitacle, on devra se connecter sur le réseau WiFi généré par le produit, mais aussi s'appairer en Bluetooth (comme tout véhicule qui a déjà du CarPlay sans fil) et le système va utiliser le Bluetooth ainsi que du WiFi pour améliorer la connexion (attention ensuite à bien configurer une connexion automatique de son portable pour ne pas avoir à le reconnecter manuellement dès qu'on entre dans la voiture), il est mono bande (2,4 GHz et 5 GHz).
    Son usage est donc simple et rapide avec un seul bouton de mise en marche, testé en CarPlay sur iPhone, la connectivité est très bonne et on retrouve son CarPlay comme en filaire. Comme il fait une taille d'une petite clé USB cubique, il ne prend que très peu de place, hormis le fait qu'il occupe le port USB, il reste discret.
    Il est en USB-A et livré avec un adaptateur USB-C.
    Compatible avec la quasi totalité des véhicules compatibles CarPlay et Android Auto, mais il faudra bien s'assurer si le véhicule est ancien d'avoir la fonction en filaire.
    Reste au final un produit discret qui fait bien le job pour un prix (presque) raisonnable.
