    Nice Glow, but Setup Takes Work

    I installed these tree lights to highlight a couple of palms in my yard, prepping for holiday gatherings, and they create a warm, inviting glow. The 3000K light bathes the trees evenly without harsh glare, which is perfect for evening ambiance. The IP67 waterproofing gives me confidence they’ll hold up in Florida’s humid weather, and the aluminum housing feels sturdy.

    However, installation was a hassle—you need a transformer and low-voltage wires, which aren’t included, so I had to make an extra trip to the hardware store. The 30° lens focuses well, but positioning them just right took some trial and error. They’re great for accentuating my yard for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but be ready to invest time and extra parts for setup. Worth it for the look, but not plug-and-play.

    I bought 2 light fixtures and bought 24v /400w power supply, installed the lights and turn the ballast on and none of the lights worked, spend time testing each light individually and none of them worked, disassembled the lights and sending them back, big time waste of money and more importantly waste of time, now ordered something different (spot lights) to light up the trees, disappointed in the quality.

    These ring-style outdoor LED lights are a unique way to illuminate trees, especially palms or large oaks, by wrapping the trunk in an even wash of warm white light. Each unit is a circular fixture made of powder-coated aluminum with four ground stakes for stability. The build feels solid, with thick housing fins for heat dissipation and no flimsy plastic parts. The diameter of each ring is just under 14 inches, designed to sit at the base of a trunk and cast light upward.

    The LEDs are rated at 3000K, and the light output is a pleasant warm white that highlights bark texture without looking harsh or overly yellow. In testing, a single ring easily illuminated a tree about 18–20 feet tall with even coverage. The beam angle is around 30°, so it focuses upward rather than spilling too wide into the yard. With six fixtures in the pack, you can cover multiple trees or layer the effect on a single larger one.

    These require a 24V low-voltage power supply (not included), so they’re not plug-and-play unless you already have a landscape lighting transformer. Once connected, they ran quietly with no noticeable flicker. The IP67 waterproof rating held up well in light rain, with water beading off the silicone seals. The aluminum housing stayed cool to the touch even after several hours of use.

    Installation took some effort since the stakes need firm ground to sit evenly. On compacted soil they went in smoothly, but in rocky spots I had to pre-loosen the dirt. Once set, they felt stable and didn’t wobble. The wiring connections are straightforward, but I’d recommend waterproof wire nuts if setting them up permanently.

    The set arrived in a sturdy box with foam inserts separating each ring, and each light had protective covers over the LED faces. No instructions were included beyond a wiring diagram, but setup is intuitive if you’re familiar with landscape lighting.

    These lights make a dramatic difference in the yard. Instead of the usual single-spot uplight effect, they wrap the entire trunk in brightness, creating a centerpiece look. They’re best suited for anyone who already has low-voltage outdoor lighting installed and wants a bold upgrade for their trees.

    The light is not as bright as I wanted it to be and it's a very complicated set up. They work well once you get through putting it all together. It's surprisingly very solid and well built, but the exclusion of a power supply required me to make another purchase, which for the price, I feel, should have been included.
