This piece does work well enough after assembly, but there were more parts than I might have expected for something like this. The springed hinges are also pretty stiff, but at least for my case I'm not readjusting them frequently, so it's not a problem. If you are expecting to swing this in and out of position you may need to work them loose a bit

    Not very stable. It works okay if you weigh it down and brace it. It doesn't handle the weight of my IPad unless the iPad is sitting on the bed. If the iPad is suspended in the air, it swings.

    Sturdy Stand

    It’s a pretty solid stand that can be used for phones and tablets. I only use it for my iPad as my “TV” since I don’t keep a TV in the room. It holds it in place and is: easy to use, light weight but sturdy, easy to store and push to the side, non-bulky, and, most importantly, hands-free. It’s great for watching a late night movie and keeping my iPad at the right eye-level.

    The only negative is that there were no directions that I seen. Thank goodness another reviewer was kind enough to provide literal step-by-step pictures on how to set this up. It does look easy enough but thanks to that review I was able to do it quicker. There is a pad that attached to the bottom base. It does not stick to the bolt when attaching the pole. I didn’t know how to keep it in place so I used double-sided tape to attach the felt-like paper to the base and it worked.

    This is neat. My wife saw it and said, yes. So I ordered it for her, we put it together and it went into her office. A month later it was removed from her office and stuck into the hall. That means it has been rejected. This assembled really easy. It adjusts like a chiropractor's clients and can be used on phones, tablets and small solar panels (that is likely what I will end up using it for). The down side is it takes up a lot of real estate to do a simple thing. But it does it well, so if this looks like exactly waht you are looking for, the quality is right.
