    I have been waiting for a flash like this for years, and it's finally here. Love that you can change the power output (five levels) and that you can check battery level.

    It is more powerful than I thought. I've been testing it outside with sunny weather, on a Sony A9 (2017) and a color-skopar 25mm lens. Great combo for street photography. Paired with an A9III it'll be even better, being able to shoot at higher shutter speeds.

    Took the gamble of buying it with out reading one review (because its so new there aint one). Annnnnddd its broken. I plugged it once to bring to max charge capacity and the usb c port broke. (Yes i tried multiple wires dont get ahead of yourself now) the concept is awesome and its attractive for a very low profile set up. I got it to use on a nikon z30 as like the ultimate point and shoot basically, But ofcourse you cant have it all. Put in for a replacement because i believe in second chances (sometimes) and we will see how that goes and maybe this review will go from a 1 to a 4 maybe. We will see🙂

    Edit. I got a replacement and so far so good. Customer service from godox was actually top notch may i add, they refunded me, asked what happen to the product so they can alleviate any issues in the future. Cool people

    Estaba buscando un flash compacto para ayudarme con la luz para fotos en la noche, sobre todo cuando salgo con amigos a tomar fotos casuales. Al principio, el GODOX iM20 Mini Flash me pareció un juguete por su tamaño, pero me sorprendió muchísimo cuando lo probé en una salida nocturna con amigos.

    Como soy muy meticuloso con mi fotografía (uso una Nikon Zf), antes de llevarlo a la calle hice varias pruebas. Este flash no tiene TTL, así que hay que ajustar la exposición manualmente. Usé una tarjeta ColorChecker para revisar el balance de blancos y asegurarme de que mis exposiciones fueran precisas. Descubrí que mi unidad daba una temperatura de color entre 6500 y 7000 K — más cálida que los flashes profesionales que suelen estar en 5500 K — pero lo importante es que fue muy constante.

    Lo estuve usando a f/2.8 con una velocidad de 1/250, compensando la exposición con ISO dependiendo de la distancia. El flash tiene fuerza suficiente hasta unos 6 metros, y a potencia completa me dio más de 500 disparos. Al final de la noche, obtuve fotos que realmente me impresionaron.

    Sí, es un flash que requiere que te tomes el tiempo de ajustar la exposición cada vez (o mantener la misma si la distancia no cambia), lo cual puede ser difícil si no estás acostumbrado. Pero una vez que entiendes cómo sacarle provecho, los resultados son increíbles.

    El flash GODOX IM20 es una de las unidades flash más pequeñas que he visto nunca, y, sin duda, la que mejor funciona. El hermano pequeño del GODOX IM30 es manual e intuitivo, tiene solamente tres botones, uno para encenderlo y probar el flash y dos para ajustar su potencia, de más, a menos, fácil. Se carga por usb-c y su batería dura unos 440 disparos. La construcción es de un plástico robusto y los botones tienen buen tacto, no parece que se te vaya a romper en la mano, todo lo contrario. Es muy cómodo de llevar, especialmente en situaciones donde debes ser discreto, street photography, eventos o editoriales. Es un flash con una potencia excelente teniendo muy en cuenta su tamaño.

    Yo lo uso principalmente para fotografía analógica y estoy encantado ya que puedo usarlo en casi cualquier cámara y cabe en cualquier sitio, viene con una bolsita protectora y un pañito para limpiarlo. Recomiendo al 100%. He hecho un pequeño video donde se ve el flash y algunas fotos que he hecho, no son las mejores pero las tormentas no me permiten salir a la calle :P.

    I've waited about a month and a holiday before giving my review.

    Small, easily slips in to any pocket or camera bag and doesn't look out of place even on my Ricoh gr3

    Given it's size it is surprisingly powerful, obviously it won't be able to put compete significantly larger flashes but it is good enough to use as a fill light on sunny days or to help out in the dark.

    Battery is pretty daym good, I can't tell you how many flashes you get per charge because I still haven't been able to drain it down yet ! Even taking into count my spamming the flash test button.

    On lower powers the flash recharge is pretty instantaneous, however on the higher power there is a few seconds of delay.

    There is now screen on the flash so you rely on using the plus minus button and flashing lights to dictate the strength of the flash so there is a bit of trial and error with flash setting.

    Being made completely out of plastic seems like it would be a downside but it seems pretty robust and helps making it nice and light weight ( adding to its portability)

    USBC charging is a godsend however the batteries are non user replaceable

    Biggest downside is no ttl with my Ricoh

    Overall I'm really happy with the product and would definitely recommend
