Very nice action / vlogging camera with one small gripe
This Xtra Pro Action Cam is very nice and works well out of the box. It feels very sturdy in the hand and is built very well. There is a video screen on the back that takes up the entire surface and a smaller screen on the front for seeing what you are recording when video recording a selfie. It comes with 45GB of internal storage. There is an SD card slot so you can expand the storage space, but from what I read, it requires a special SD card and standard cards will not work. But I think that for most, the 45GB of internal storage will be more than adequate. When you turn it on or charge it, it does display the current charge state of the battery. The image stabilization is very good as well as the internal microphone, and the menu that displays on the large screen on the back is touch sensitive and relatively easy to use. It comes with a hard case and mounting equipment to attach it to a helmet. The mounting adaptor does work with GoPro mounting gear. The clip that attaches to the protective frame has a magnet and two clips on the ends to keep it secure. My only gripe is that the on / off button requires a lot of pressure to activate and you need to hold it down for several seconds. I would like to also point out that when I first got it, I fully charged it to 100%. I took around 7 minutes of video and then I used the USB-C cable to transfer the video to my computer, it said the power level was at 68%. I am thinking that was some glitch with my computer because I find it hard to believe that taking 7 minutes of video would drain 32% of the batter. And after I downloaded the video from the camera onto my computer, the power level read 97%, and I had only had it plugged into my computer for a few minutes. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of this action cam and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it.

This sport camera is a great choice for anyone who loves action, travel, or outdoor adventures. It’s small, light, and built tough, so you can take it almost anywhere. The camera is waterproof up to 30 meters, so you don’t need extra gear for swimming, diving, or rainy weather.

The video quality is excellent. It records in 4K at 60 frames per second, which means the footage looks sharp, colorful, and smooth. The wide-angle lens gives you that “immersive” action look, while the image stabilization keeps videos steady, even if you’re biking, skiing, or running. It also performs well in low light, so you can still capture clear shots at sunset or in shaded areas.

Photos come out great too, with a 20-megapixel sensor that produces crisp and detailed images. The burst mode is handy for fast-moving action. Sharing is simple thanks to built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth—you can connect it to your phone, use the app to control it, and even live stream if you want.

Battery life is decent, lasting about 90 minutes when filming in 4K. For longer trips, it’s smart to carry a spare battery. There are also plenty of accessories, like mounts and tripods, so you can attach the camera to helmets, bikes, or even your backpack.

Overall, this sport camera is reliable, easy to use, and delivers great quality. Whether you’re into extreme sports or just want to record fun memories on a trip, it’s a solid and worthwhile purchase.

Clear Video and high FPS. The Camera was not too heavy for my FPV. Love that the camera comes with internal memories so I don't need to buy additionaal SD card, but if need more memory there is a microSD slot available. Charges fast. Sound is also very good. I didn't have to read the manual the operation was very intuitive.

After several weeks of testing, this 4K action camera has proven to be a solid performer for its price range. The footage quality is impressive—the large 1/1.3" sensor captures crisp, detailed video with accurate color and excellent contrast, even in shifting light. The 4K at 60fps mode looks clean with no major artifacts, and stabilization performs far better than expected, keeping motion smooth during biking and hiking clips.

The waterproof housing feels sturdy and genuinely holds up under pressure. I’ve taken it snorkeling several times, down to about 20 feet, and the seals stayed perfectly dry. Buttons remain responsive underwater, and the image quality doesn’t degrade much even below the surface. The lens coating sheds droplets quickly once back in air, avoiding the blurry water spots that ruin footage on cheaper models.

Low-light and night scenes were a pleasant surprise. The larger sensor gathers enough light to maintain usable detail and natural color balance without excessive noise. The “Night View” mode adds just enough brightness boost to handle campfire shots or dim indoor scenes without blowing out highlights.

Battery life averages around 90 minutes per charge when shooting in 4K, and it supports quick swap with spare batteries for continuous recording. The menus are intuitive, and connecting to the app for previews or downloads works consistently without dropped signals. Mount compatibility is excellent—the standard GoPro-style mounts fit snugly with no play.

After hours of use in sand, water, and cold weather, it’s still performing like new. The lens cover resists scratches, and the body hasn’t shown wear despite some rough handling. For travel, vlogging, or adventure footage, this camera delivers professional-looking results in a compact, rugged package.

With cameras, image quality is Priority One with me. Whether I need to sort through a convoluted menu flow, struggle with unconventional navigation techniques or accept that what I’ve long known as this is now called that, I’ll do it, provided the end result is quality imaging. I’m finding that to be true with the Xtra Pro action camera and also wondering how large a role actual photographers had in developing it. The speaker cutout, for instance, is placed right where the index finger typically rests when holding the camera. When it first sounded I thought I had a bee pinched under my finger. If an unusual grip is necessary, note that the camera body has a coarse, easy-to-grip surface. Although each action cam I have varies a bit from one to the other, this one varies a good bit more. Call me old fashioned, but I was surprised to see there is no threaded, 1/4-inch tripod adapter on either the camera bottom or the provided protective camera frame. Instead, the Xtra Pro mounts to both via a magnetically reinforced clip. It works, and being able to mount the camera to any magnetic surface can be useful, I suppose. The clip, however—the only provided mount for the camera—is a helmet mount with a thumb screw and curved, adhesive base. Fortunately, other action cameras I own, unlike the Xtra Pro, came with a slew of mounts and related accessories, including tripod mount adapters that I can use to replace the curved helmet plate. Another thing gone missing is a second camera battery and, often, a separate dual battery charger. Only one battery (1900mAh) is included with the Xtra Pro, and I’ll be charging it in the camera. I appreciate that the illuminated charging level indicator is large, bright and easy to see from a distance. The camera has a generous 47.8GB of internal storage and a slot for optional additional memory via microSD card (not included). Like most action cameras, it does not have a flash, lens cap or external microphone input. That said, the onboard audio is quite good. Available settings, of course, vary according to the shooting mode, and there’s a bunch of both. The more notable for me are two image stabilization settings: a Sports setting for vigorous action, and a Day setting for more subtle movements. Both are impressive, with the Sport setting offering stability nearly on par with that of a gimbal. The camera being waterproof to 65 feet without requiring a case is a great convenience that could spark a broader interest in underwater photography. I like the Full Front Screen feature, which zooms a tighter, square crop front screen image to a wide panoramic. Both screens are bright and razor sharp. Both can be zoomed from 1x to 2x. The Xtra App, a companion app, allows users to view, edit, share and download images and videos with a mobile phone. With the provided 20-inch cable, files can be transferred to a PC. I checked out the features I found of greatest interest, and I found them impressive enough to convince me that when I get to the others they will not disappoint. This is a worthy camera. The included Quick Start guide is very sparse. To learn more, there is a useful video tutorial and an informative user manual—Xtra Edge Pro_User Manual_en—available online.
