Bought this cleaner due to a issue with our pool vacuum. Within a couple of hours, the sediment and dirt was sucked up. This saved me time from manually vacuuming the pool. I can drop it in and let it go

    Best pool vacuum I've had so far

    I've had a Dolphin Nautilus pool vacuum for about 3 years, and a couple of months ago it started acting up. It would run in circles and do wheelies for a short period, then stop. It would take several stop and starts to get it to run. In addition, the power cord was starting to degrade and the treads would come off periodically. The cost of replacements made it more feasible to just replace with another vacuum.
    After a lot of research, I elected to replace it with a Wybot C2, and boy am I glad I did. One issue I ran into on Amazon is how many cleaners with good reviews can't ship to Hawaii. I am really baffled on this as I have prime membership. Even some other models of Wybot cleaners show up as "cannot ship to your location".
    After it arrived, I got my Dolphin to run one more time as I was hoping to run the Wybot after the Dolphin ran to see if it would pick up anything more. And it did! I was surprised at how much grit and sediment that the Dolphin did not get.
    I ran it on the "do everything" cycle, so it did the pool walls, waterline scrubbing and the bottom.
    I have a tanning/Savanah shallow end that I could never get the Dolphin to run (I would have to make a barricade with some patio chairs) and it would get confused on the steps as well.
    Not the case with the Wybot. I ran and cleaned the tanning deck with no problems. Likewise, it handled the step (which span the entire width of the pool) with no issues.
    Having the Nano microfilter included it a huge plus, that filter picks up really fine stuff and washing the filters out is easy smeezy. When it's done cleaning, it does return to where you dropped it into the pool. Retrieval is accomplished using a hook (included) attached to a standard pool pole. The weight is not too bad so it's fairly easy to pull out.
    If I had any negative things to note, it would be battery life. My pool is not large (10000 gal) so it can do the entire pool with a single charge, but it does require recharging as it's not capable to do a second cleaning. I also wish the power cord was longer (it's only 36") so you have to locate the cleaner pretty close to an outlet. I've read how most reviewers say corded cleaners are more powerful, but my Wybot had way more suction than the corded Dophin I had.
    You do need to use the app to be able to select cleaning mode, pool shape, etc. This can be a bit confusing as the app uses blue tooth and you must push the on button on the cleaner and make your sections on your phone before dropping the cleaner into the water. Once is drops down to the bottom, you will get a display "no connection", which you just disregard as in a short time the cleaner will start and run.
    I have not yet tried out the camera and dirt seeking mode as my pool stays pretty clean.
    Overall, for me the Wybot is a really good cleaner and I'm very happy with this choice. I hope it's operating lifespan is better than my Dolphin.

    Why not Wybot C2?

    The Wybot C2 is is awesome. Decades ago, I purchased an Aquabot. It was wonderful. It had a power cord that it dragged around the pool (along with the extension cord that I needed to power the unit). It finally got to the point where I couldn't get replacement parts for it, so I needed to replace it. (Bow your heads for a moment of silence in honor of a great pool cleaner.) I looked on Amazon and scoured reviews… and thought and thought until I made the replacement decision. The Wybot C2 was my choice. It took a little time to get used to the app and setting the cleaning program, but it wasn't that hard to figure out. I used it for about a month this swim season and I loved that I could just drop it in and go about my day without worrying about tripping on wires near the pool. It does an amazing job at vacuuming up debris and scrubbing the water line.

    Just this weekend I packed it back in its box for winter storage. To any smart people out there who decide on purchasing the C2, just remember to add a reminder to your calendar to charge the unit every 3 months while not in use in order to keep the battery at optimal performance.

    My C2 now sits in my basement waiting for the middle of December when I'll get the reminder to throw it on the charger. Heck, I like this thing so much that I might keep it out through the holidays so that I can sit at the Christmas table acting as buffer against some of 'those' once a year relatives.

    My husband placed it in the shallow end of the pool it was unable to climb the three steps, it made it to the 2nd step, cleaned a small portion & then went to the bottom of the pool. It’s pretty cool to see it climb the walls. It moves around the pool in a Willy nilly way….. no definite path. It sucked up the leaves & stops when the basket is full. The small areas it did clean were great. We will continue to use & hopefully with daily usage it will clean the entire pool, which is 17,000 gallons.

    Avec sa camera IA, il va partout où il le souhaite en detectant les obstacles, les zones sales…

    Attention cette machine est adaptée aux piscines de gros volumes, 80 à 100m3 d'eau ne lui font pas peur, 20m2 sa lui paraîtra ridicule.

    Un outillage pour venir entretenir votre piscine dans le moindre effort. Il suffira juste de recharger régulièrement l'appareil.

    Il apporte deux avancées ajeures pour moi: le nettoyage minutieux du sable de Sahara au fond de la piscine ( il y a un filtre additionnel spécifique à cela), et bien sûr la vision qui permet d'aller directement vers la saleté.
    Ce dernier mode est plein de promessses, mais il est limité en pratique : si la saleté est dans un angle du fond trapoidale côté grand bain, alors le robot s'aligne dessus our l'aspirer, mais l'angle l'en empêche.

    Por unos 800-900 € (según la oferta), es una máquina que promete mantener tu piscina limpia sin que tengas que mover un dedo, y la verdad, cumple bastante, pero no es perfecto. Lo he probado en una piscina de tamaño medio y va como la seda: limpia el fondo, las paredes y la línea de flotación, donde se pega toda la porquería. Lo que mola es su sistema de IA, que usa sensores para mapear la piscina y moverse con cabeza, sin dejarse zonas sin limpiar. No es un robot que va dando tumbos; planea las rutas y optimiza el recorrido, lo que se nota porque no repite zonas tontamente y el agua queda cristalina.

    Es facilísimo de usar: lo sumerges, lo enciendes y se pone a currar solo. El filtro atrapa desde hojas hasta arena fina, y vaciarlo es pan comido: abres la tapa, lo limpias y listo. La batería aguanta unas 3-4 horas, ideal para piscinas de hasta 100 m², y tarda unas 5 horas en recargarse. La app es un puntazo: te deja programar limpiezas, elegir modos (solo fondo, paredes o todo) y hasta ver cómo va el robot. La IA aquí brilla, porque puedes ajustar patrones de limpieza desde el móvil, y la máquina responde al momento. Comparado con un limpiafondos manual, esto es otro mundo.

    Ahora, las pegas, y voy a ser crítico. La IA está bien, pero no es infalible: si la piscina tiene esquinas raras o muchos obstáculos, a veces se lía y tarda más en cubrir todo. No es un drama, pero esperaba más precisión por el precio. El zumbido que hace no es ensordecedor, pero si estás relajado en la piscina, molesta. El cable de carga es corto, y si no tienes un enchufe cerca, te toca usar un alargador, lo cual es un engorro. El filtro es bueno, pero con mucha suciedad (tipo arena o algas), hay que vaciarlo cada dos por tres, y eso cansa. Comparado con robots premium como los Dolphin, le falta potencia para piscinas grandes o muy sucias, y la construcción, aunque resistente al agua y al cloro, no se siente tan robusta como esperaba por casi 900 €.

    Otro punto flojo: la app es útil, pero a veces se desconecta o tarda en responder, y eso frustra cuando quieres cambiar algo rápido. También molaría que tuviera un modo de limpieza más agresivo para cuando la piscina está muy empantanada, porque el estándar a veces se queda corto.

    La cámara con inteligencia artificial que incorpora detecta la suciedad de manera eficaz, algo que he comprobado varias veces cuando he visto cómo se dirigía directamente hacia zonas con hojas o sedimentos que yo mismo había observado previamente. La potencia de aspiración es considerable, mucho más de lo que esperaba inicialmente, y consigue recoger desde arena fina hasta hojas grandes sin problemas aparentes.

    El movimiento bajo el agua es fluido y controlado, nunca he visto que se quede atascado o que tenga dificultades para desplazarse por las diferentes superficies de la piscina, incluyendo las esquinas y los rincones más complicados. La navegación inteligente que incorpora le permite mapear el espacio y optimizar sus recorridos, lo cual se nota especialmente en piscinas grandes donde evita repetir zonas innecesariamente. La batería ofrece autonomía suficiente para completar ciclos de limpieza completos, aunque el tiempo exacto depende del modo que selecciones y del tamaño de la superficie a limpiar.

    Un aspecto que me ha resultado interesante es que la conectividad wifi no está disponible cuando el robot está sumergido, lo cual es lógico por temas técnicos pero conviene saberlo para planificar el uso de la aplicación móvil. Los filtros son fáciles de limpiar y el mantenimiento general es sencillo, no requiere conocimientos técnicos especiales.

    El sistema de aprendizaje adaptativo realmente funciona, he notado cómo mejora su eficiencia después de varios usos en la misma piscina. En resumen un robot de gama media-alta, ahora solo hay que esperar a ver con que nos sorprenden los de wybot el año que viene.
