I installed 2 (bathroom & kitchen) of these as part of a basement finish I'm working on. The install was pretty straightforward schluter provides excellent instructions so I had no issues. The description says that a temperature sensor is included. With the thermostat that is not true, you get 2 temperature sensors with the heating wires. Once you get it online, it'll send you an email verification to register an account. Once you set up the account, you can log on using your computer and operate the thermostat and monitor the usage. You can also download the app and do the same thing. However, you need to download the correct app. You need to download the one that says E heat. I've included a photo of the one you need to download for this particular thermostat. Overall, i'm very happy with the With the entire system, it takes about five or ten minutes before you feel the heat on your feet. I can't recommend it enough.

    I bought this because I had the old programmable version without wifi capabilities. I wanted an easier programming format that had online capabilities for my bathroom floor heater. This one did the trick. My electrician installed with ease since my original one had no problems. The setup though not seam less is not that hard. The hardest part was when you use the "@" symbol to put in your email address, don't exit out. One of the symbol button takes you back to regular italics (I made that mistake twice and it makes you start your email input all over again if you mess up). But once you get past that hiccup it was smooth sailing. Schluter sends you to a website (not their main one) once you start the process via an email confirmation. And you can download the iPhone app too. I would recommend once you pair your thermostat onto you wifi, then use use your computer to login from the email they send you, setup your schedule, then download the app on your phone. In that order. I really like once you give it your kWh it can show you how much you spend on a daily, and weekly basis. very nice touch.
    One last thing my old thermostat only went up to 74 F. This one goes up to 80+ F and you can really feel it. For the first time I had ever own this floor heater I had to turn it down. Great upgrade, highly recommended.

    Known QC issue with the GFCI reset, but otherwise great

    I wanted to be able to adjust or turn on the heated floor without having to go to the thermostat. My floor is brand new, I wish the installer had offered me the option of WiFi at the time of install. Changing from the regular thermostat to the WiFi one could not be easier or simpler. Power off, remove a single screw, remove face plate, put on WiFi face plate, tight screw, power up and run through the install menu.
    It is terrific to have the clock self set (no daylight savings adjustment needed!) and decide I want a toasty room a hour from home or want to confirm it will not come on when I have already left traveling. It also has a weather icon though that does not provide much added benefit.
    A lot of the time, depending on how you are connecting (phone/computer/tablet) you are forced to log in which can be a real PITA. My new smart phone, I only had to login once and the ID was saved. My PC however, I have to log in every time. A shame they do not use a PIN on a trusted device. Would of been five stars if not for the occasional log on issue.

    The only problem I did have was that the GFCI was defective and when tested, was difficult to reset. The seller told me I had to deal with the manufacturer, who told me I had to deal with the seller. After a few days, the manufacturer came through and sent me a replacement and a post paid label to return the defective one. It seems this issue was not unheard of. Schluter (the manufacturer) was magnificent in how well they took care of me. The seller here on Amazon, not so much.

    I'm really disappointed in this thermostat.

    1. It makes an incredibly loud click when it turns on. Not good if it's going to be in an echo-ey master bathroom near a bedroom. I wish I'd known this during installation, and I would have installed it in a cabinet or something. Instead, it is in a very prominent location. Frustrating.

    2. It isn't Google Assistant or Alexa compatible. No chance of 'Hey Google, heat the floor." That should be table stakes for a "smart device" in 2020. Disappointing.

    3. The whole thing looks very 2002. It's low res. Low quality. Just not impressive for what should otherwise be a top-shelf heated floor installation. Everything Schluter seems gold plated, and I expected better from the thermostat.

    Bottom line — it works, but it's pricey and loud, so put it in a cabinet somewhere, and dont expect it to be very "smart."

    I don't use the wifi option on any of the products due to security reasons. This product has a lot of adjustability, I would even say too many options. Setting up was not an issue at all. there are also video on Shcluter web site. I would recommend watching before starting to use this DITRA-HEAT-E-WiFi Thermostat DHERT104/BW.
    It allows temporarily change the temperature and then it would resets to default at the next time slot. I have it for over 9 month and I'm happy with this product so far.
