Huge time saver!
This thing can compete with the big brand robot vacuums from a functionality standpoint. The suction is very sufficient to grab most anything and it does well around corners and in tight spaces. As one would expect, it doesn't do well with dangling cords and lots of long hair. However, if you tidy up the loose cords and pull the hair off the spinning brushes frequently, it does it's job effectively and is worth the cost. This won't take the place of a strong powered regular vacuum that is manually ran over carpet and flooring. But it is great and keeping main areas tidy and crumb free. I set it to roam the kitchen, dining room and family room at 2:30 in the morning and I get to wake up to a very clean downstairs. It's nice waking up to a clean floor and those nice vacuum lines on the carpet. Oh, and I forgot to mention this thing has offroad quality wheels! It handles going from tile to higher pile carpet with ease. In summary, if you can keep a majority of the floor clear, this vacuum can do it's job well and save you a ton of sweeping time! Know that it's not perfect, has some limitation, but overall a big time saver and is very effective!

    Ok.. all the reviews that say if you're on the fence on purchasing this, just get it..? Yeah. Just get it. Seriously. You will love it. I am not one who has endless funds, but this thing has turned out to be a necessity in our home and I'm glad I took the chance and bought it.

    I live in a modest, 1000 square ft house. All hardwood and ceramic tile floors with just a few small rugs. I have long hair, a furry monkey boyfriend and 3 cats. So normally, no matter how much Ive swept, vacuumed, and rag moped the floor, there is always crud and hair sticking to the bottom of our feet the next morning.

    The first 2 day of having this vacuum, we ran it 5 times and had to dump the container probably 10 times. And that's after I swept and mopped the floor a few days prior. Now, we run it on a daily basis around the time we get home so we can make sure it doesnt get caught or eat a cat toy, and it gets about half full every day. It blows my mind how much it collects and keeps the house up for us! We also keep the house much neater and organized now for the vacuums safety so it's been a win win!

    No real issues at all. Its makes it's way easily through out the entire 1 level house. He has never taken a tumble down the basement stairs. Only gotten caught a couple of times on the little threshold to the bathroom but he can typically break himself free if we leave him to fend for himself. It handles the rugs and floor changes seamlessly beyond that. It is really super easy to maintain and the roller brush is the easiest design I've ever had to clean. The technology really is pretty awesome too.

    My ONLY complaint, is this high pitched whine when it's running on its main setting. It's quiet enough that I have slept just fine when it's running and it is certainly quieter than any other vacuum, but something about the pitch of it will drown out the TV or stereo. But I am getting used to it and if it ever gets annoying I just kick it out for the time being.

    The cats are not fans. But they're dealing with it.

    All and all, my techy boyfriend and I are beyond impressed and happy with our little scuttling addition to the family. I dont know how I lived without it. People have even commented on how clean my floors look all the time now. So worth the price.

    The Pros: Price, Efficacy, Ease of use, Packaging/Contents (extra brushes and filter)/Washable filter/hard floors and carpet/Set Up Simple
    Cons: Takes a while to do the job (though this is minimal as who cares when all you do is push a button or program the unit-just don't expect this to be a 10 min job-allow the time)
    I have only run this unit 2 days. Once (day 1) downstairs which is mainly hard surface. It was learning and did a decent job. There were still a few small pieces of debris but hey, when I get done with the real manual vacuum I leave a few myself. It is not intended to do a deep clean so don't kid yourself someday you will have to do that. It does maintain-which I believe is the purpose. To help in the daily life process and that being said it did an astonishing job dodging chair legs and dogs to get this done.
    Day 2 involved upstairs-which is mostly carpet. I was amazed it did a better job than I anticipated. I have short very thick carpet yet is still left tracks. Once again this is not a deep clean though I felt it was very adequate for a daily sweep and made me look forward to being barefoot as I prefer indoors.
    I am a very hard person to please in terms of a device and its abilities-so the 4 stars may be many 5's. I just honestly believe there are very few 5 stars in life. One has to weigh length of time running with suction power to get the most advantage of use and this does a pretty competent job of that. For the under 200$ cost and honestly the model R3500 is more than adequate who cares if I use my phone or the remote and I can program via the remote or call the unit home. So no need to spend more for bells and whistles of little value to me.
    As for the long haul use-not sure about dependability. Perhaps I will return in a year to update. This will get daily use and I may buy a second unit for the upstairs-depends on how it holds up and my satisfaction several months from now. It does seem will built – it is made in China if that matters to you. It did not to me, though post Covid now it will. I will pay more for American made starting in the near future as we all need to. We have to employ our peoples and have them for future crises to support the USA. Lesson Learned.
