Useless. I bought two of them. One for the wide open concept first floor and one for the second floor. I have an L shaped couch on the first floor and it gravitate towards it and cant escape the L. It just cleans that one spot over and over until it runs out of battery. Every single time. What is really frustrating is when it goes back to dock, it gets lost and does a whole tour around the first floor. Ive tried moving the dock too and no matter what, it csnt get past the L shaped couch.
For the second floor, I have the thing in my room. I have 3 bedrooms and a long hallway i wanted it to clean. It cant even get out of my room. Doors wide open. I have a dresser and a bed in there. I keep everything off the floor with minimal furniture, same as first floor if I wasnt specific. But it just goes around and around my room and doesnt leave. Ive picked it up and put it in the other rooms myself and it will clean them. But if I dont pick it up and move it, it will never leave my room or the room it is in.
Not only that, but when you say it has "mapping" technology, say what it is. Its a GPS. It shows you (in an extremely confusing way) where the thing is. Once it docs, it erases the map. Ive had another one that mapped the room and then it would keep that map and remember where it cleaned. If it missed a spot it would go back and get it. This is not mapping its just a GPS that makes no sense.
So dont waste your money. Spend a little more and get a vacuum that actually does what it says.
Oh and it barely picked things up. It would run over things and I would pick it up and put it in its path and it would just run over it again and again until it eventually picked it up. Sometimes
