UPDATE: Having used this vacuum and mop for a few weeks now I thought I would leave a few notes if you're considering buying this model. If you can get it on sale I think this is a good deal but I would be upset and probably return it if I had paid full price for the following reasons:
1) one of the side brushes is constantly falling off, disappearing for the dog to find or being sucked up into the machine.
2) It cannot seem to switch from hardwood, tile, or lino to carpet and therefor leaves behind a huge mess around my two area rugs which it also does not vacuum.
3) It will not vacuum under my sofa even though there is plenty of clearance.
4) There are other areas that it will not vacuum or mop unless I specifically set the area in the map after it's done the first clean even though there are no impediments.
5) It WILL notify when the water tanks are empty/full/dirty BUT it will NOT notify when the dust bin is full and needs emptying.
6) It leaves giant clumps of pet hair all over the house because it pushes it around into a pile instead of sucking it up
There are still plenty of nice features:
1) The roller doesn't get hair tangled around it like other vacuums I've had
2) The rotating mop heads do a MUCH better job of mopping than the vacuums with just the wet cloth mops
3) It doesn't get stuck or need assistance very often so I can actually run it while I go out and when I get back the floors are done and it's back in it's base
4)It's relatively quiet
Overall it is a helpful machine but I do still have to sweep and mop things it misses which is annoying, and I also have to go around and pick up the clumps of pet hair it leaves behind.
This is a very sleek looking machine. Setting up the vacuum and garage out of the box was very simple and self-explanatory. I found the dust bin but also a dust bag a bit confusing until I realized you can use whichever one you prefer. Trying to connect the vacuum to the app was more challenging as the appliance will only connect to a 2.4ghz so I had to spend a solid half hour figuring out how to change the settings on my 5G in order to accommodate that. The app itself is very user friendly so far, but of course it does take some time to learn how to navigate it. From there I had a LOT of issues trying to get the vacuum to map the house. The first time it moved 0.5 a meter from the base then returned to the base and told me mapping was complete. While I was looking around on the app to find where to go to tell it to try again, it left the base and started an unspecified task. When I found the "remap" feature it wouldn't remap because the vacuum was doing this other task. In the end I had to manually place the vacuum back in the garage and hit remap. It then spent about 10min making a lot noise while remaining in the base. Right when I was about to give up, it left the base and started simultaneously mopping and vacuuming which of course is NOT what I wanted it to do. Thankfully it was only cleaning the strip of the room it had mapped and I managed to get it to return to the base using the app. When I hit remap this time it left the base and did actually map my house, with clearly marked rooms surprisingly quickly (a previous robot vacuum I owned that used a map made such a poor map I was never able to clean just specific rooms because you couldn't identify the rooms clearly on the map so I was impressed by this clear and concise map). When it returned to the base I told it to vacuum, then mop, but I had to leave the house for about 30 minutes. I expected it to be stuck or lost when I got home as my last vacuum was never able to clean without getting stuck, but when I got back home it was still going. I can tell from walking on the floors it has done a good job of sucking up dirt and grit but you can see it's definitely just pushed around and left behind clumps of dog hair which is disappointing, though not surprising as I haven't found a robot vacuum yet that does a good job cleaning pet hair. It did not complete the mopping throughout the house and I'm not clear if that's an error or if it needed to charge. The mopping that it did complete was really well done. I plan to try again tomorrow and see if I can get it to mop just the remaining rooms. Finally, I don't think it's particularly quiet but it's not any louder than other vacuums I've had. Compared to other, cheaper, robot vacuums I've had this one is far superior and definitely worth the extra money. I'm hoping it lasts longer than the cheaper ones too.
