A great starting set for harness work.
This automotive terminal set with crimpers is an excellent product! I really appreciate the variety of terminal connectors grouped by type and varied by gauge/size. Each terminal is clearly identified by model/type number and the variety itself is quite expensive with everything from Deutsch style pins and sockets to blades and even fuse style connectors. The pin and seal container has clear labelling top and inside, making it easy to identify what's in the kit, and find what you're looking for when you dig into it. The kit comes complete with several sizes of waterproof seals in bulk quantity, an 18 pin extractor, and tweezers. It's a one stop shop for most automotive harness work, and the crimper comes sized right and with the die for the provided connectors. It might be good to note that while the crimpers comes with a die for non-insulated 2-point "m" style crimps – this particular die is specifically for the provided pins/contacts, as the 2-point die has both points on level ground (where most others provide the 2 points on differing levels to account for the typical pin molding. This means that these crimpers work specifically for the provided pins, and will fail to properly crimp the insulation point on most other non-insulated solid contacts. I used it for an aftermarket speedometer/odometer, to provide the pins for the male half of the connectors that had been provided, but without pins – and the quality of the pins themselves, as well as the quality of the crimps, were fantastic. I can see no issues with either lasting, and the crimpers have the standard die setup so you'll be able to swap dies for other pin configurations. It's definitely a great starting point for anyone, and you can't go wrong adding another ratchet crimper to your collection – since it's always nice to not have to switch out dies all the time. Especially for the value and price point; I rate the product at 5 stars and highly recommend it.

    I do a fair bit of wiring repairs at work. Not always automotive, but industrial machinery often uses similar connectors. This Filluck pin connector kit is an excellent assortment of automotive wiring pins and seals. The included terminal tools and crimpers are of reasonable quality, certainly good enough to get the job done. The crimpers are a bit tight, but the jaws align properly, and the ratcheting mechanism is smooth. If you are repairing harnesses day in, day out, you would be better off purchasing a high-quality set of terminal removers (the included ones will be bent after dealing with a few stubborn pins). For the occasional harness or pigtail repair, however, this is more than adequate.
    This set will cover quite a bit of what you could run into. Sure, there are some esoteric standards that are omitted, but if you're dealing with those, you'll know in advance. For the money, as someone who is not going to be making wiring repairs daily, you can't beat a kit like this. It offers significant value. And for the DIYer, you can save yourself potentially hundreds of dollars by making repairs yourself.

    I really like this set! Being able to de-pin, and install new pins into a plug is so helpful when working on just about any electronic, especially vehicles sine the clips break so easily now a days!

    The pins are of high quality materials and hold up very well, even in situations they are not meant to be used in…Sometimes you just have to make things work!

    The crimping pliers are quite nice, but I do notice they get stuck every once in a while and do not open as they should, you just have to pull them apart with a little extra force. Not a big deal, but when you are working in small spaces, it does get a little annoying.

    My biggest complaint would be the de-pinning tools. While they do work, and work well. The smallest ones do seem to be a little too flexible when you have to apply a little extra force, or encounter a stubborn pin.

    The case the pins and de-pinning tools come in is nice quality, and a little larger than I was expecting but than again there are quite a few pins in there. I just wish the pliers fit in there as well…

    Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone that does work on electronics on a regular basis. No it is not professional grade, but it is definitly high enough quality you wont be buying another one anytime soon.
