This USB repair drive WORKS – Customer Service is Great!
"Customer Service" – Is the icing on the cake with this great tool! Yes, this USB repair drive got my (12 year old?) WINDOWS 10 laptop, upgraded from Windows 7, up and running again. But it was the great Customer Service that was really impressive – and why I gave this purchase 5 stars! The instructions that come with the drive may seem lacking, especially if you have any problems with using it, but the USB drive comes with a suite of usable tools AND INSTRUCTIONS to help with anything from recovering a password to fixing partitions issues on your hard drive ( which was needed to reinstall the operating system). And even though I had to make use of the seller's (Jin Chen) offer to "email me for help" a half dozen times, he responded to all of my emails quickly and was very patient and helpful with my questions! Jin has a folder of written and video "fixes" to help you with any problems using his tools on the drive. This USB repair drive is greatly recommended!

    This product is great if the following are true:

    • You already have a licensed version of Windows on your PC;
    • Your version of Windows hasn’t been updated in a while; AND
    •You don’t have any means to create an installer yourself

    However, if your Windows on your PC is mostly or completely updated already, then the installation will delete all of your files and apps. This is because the versions in this product are not the most recently available versions, and Windows doesn’t like it when you revert to an older version.

    It also doesn’t contain a product key, so if you’re on Windows 10 and you want to upgrade to Windows 11, it won’t work. If at all possible, your best option is to either buy the latest version of Windows 11 from Microsoft (if you need a product key) or to download the operating system from Microsoft’s website onto a blank (NTSF-formatted) USB flash drive and use THAT to reinstall Windows with the most up-to-date version. That will allow you to reinstall while preserving apps and files.
