Good build quality with a nice aluminum housing. Has a polymer backing to avoid scratching the screen. Its plug and play. No software required. It has higher magnification than expected. I was able to compensate a bit in Zoom setting using "Original Ratio". The image looks rather harsh; pixelated and less natural colors. It was also overly sensitive and did do a lot of autofocusing as other reviewers had mentioned.Also, it is so narrow that it easily rocks to the side from minor amount of tension from the USB cable. It does not have a very positive way to mount it on my curved monitor which is kind of thick. Also it would be nice if it dropped down even further.My original web cam has a downward view but a nicer looking image. You can be the judge which looks better with an attached comparison screenshot.

    The position on your screen is fantastic and really makes zooms and meets way better. BUT, this camera is garbage. It is almost never in focus. If you breathe deeply it will go out of focus and stay that way for about 6-10 seconds until it re-focuses. If you move, forget about it. If you use this camera, just know that you will be blurry 90% of the call.

    Bought a different cheaper brand mid screen camera previous to this one. Believe me folks, you get what you pay for. I replaced it with this one, it’s like night and day. Quick auto focus, but I found that it pretty much keeps you in focus the whole time no matter how much you move forwards, backwards or hand movements. Easy usb plug-in setup. If you’re using zoom just remember to adjust your video setting. The image clarity is sharp. I give this a 6 out of 5 star rating.

    The purpose of the camera is to have one's line of vision match up with looking into the eyes of the other party. The quality of the picture is very good, but it sits too high on the screen so you still look slightly below eye level. I use it on a full-size monitor. Perhaps it would be better on a laptop. A telescoping neck would be ideal.
