These cameras generally sell for around $30-40, and.the only real benefit is the small size which makes it easier for kids to hold. The rubber housing is good too, which likely protects it from inevitable drops. But, the photo quality is really poor. For the price, I would purchase an old point and shoot digital camera or even an old iPhone/iPod. Any photos taken inside with this camera are so dark that they are unrecognizable. Photos taken outdoors on a sunny day can come out okay, or washed out due to bright light. The only place that it takes a decent photo is outside on a sunny day, in the shade or later in the day facing away from the sun, but even then the resolution is nowhere near 1080p. My iPhone 3G took much better photos and videos in 2008. My kids do have fun with the frames and games, and they also use it as a music player, since you can listen to music if you add songs to your micro SD card. The speaker is very quiet though, and games and music can also be installed on an old iPhone or iPod (plus many other functions), for the same price (or at least very close). It is a cute camera, but I can’t recommend it, unless it is around $10 and for a very young toddler.
