Solid entry-level robot with all the essentials
Updated review (1 month in) Customer Support reached out to me a few days after my original review went up. They were able to resolve most of my initial issues with the robot. – The water tank error required a specific kind of reset. – The dustbin full error message is a software bug, which they said they were working on. After the initial delay, they were very responsive, and I am glad to know they are still working on improving the product. In the past month of use, I haven't experienced any other issues with how the robot functions. It still struggles at times with ledges over half an inch tall, especially on tile, but I imagine that will be a problem with any robot vacuum. SPECS: – solid hardwood floor, plus laminate and tile – 600 sq ft. apartment – ledges between rooms – one (1) cat PROS: – Robot will update the map of the home every time it runs, and each time it gets a little more efficient and accurate at reading obstacles. It adjusts well to new furniture/furniture moving. – The vacuum performance is good and corner brush works well. I only do occasional touch-ups with a small hand vacuum. No more massive, heavy, inconvenient floor units. – Mopping is basic but functional; can't add detergent, but don't seem to need it. – Oonboard dustbin compression means you don't need to buy bags, which is both wasteful and another chore. Emptying takes all of two seconds, and in one month of daily use, my dustbin isn't even half full. – It hops onto rugs seamlessly and seems to do a good job with them. – No bulky base station, therefore significantly fewer potential points of failure in operation, and can be hidden beneath the bed or a bureau. – Pet avoidance works. My cat likes to bully this robot. It has never hurt her. CONS: – Does sometimes try to vacuum inappropriate things (newspapers, twist ties, cat toys). No permanent damage, but make sure to check if it starts sounding louder than normal. – I prefer to supervise it during cleaning because of the ledges (and random cat toys), so it is not fully autonomous. – If your space is a little more complex, it may take a week or more of use for the software to adapt. This will be a loud and alarming process, but you just have to let it make mistakes. – Not exactly a con, but it's slower than I thought it would be. It takes 50 minutes to do a vacuum + single pass mop of my 600ish sq. ft. apartment. I went from 1 star to 5 stars because this ended up being a solid entry-level robot with all the essential features; no extra fluff or onerous maintenance required. I appreciate that the company respects consumers by not requiring the purchase of proprietary bags or detergents to keep the robot running, and they have treated me well after a rocky start. I am happy with my purchase overall. It does exactly what it needs to do: keeps the floor (significantly) cleaner than it would have been. No more cat hair tumbleweeds, my allergies thank me. Original review: Brand new robot, I'm really unimpressed so far. It's been giving me nonstop error messages and I've used it exactly once. Keeps saying empty the dust bin-it is empty, and in fact it was never full. Mopping? The water reservoir is permanently empty even though I filled it first thing according to the manual. There is no support info on their website, I have sent support messages, but there is no phone line. For products that run $400-$1,100, a lack of real-time support is laughable. I have spent more time troubleshooting than it would have taken me to go to the store, buy a new mop, and do the job myself. I live in a 600 square foot apartment and it also gets stuck on basic furniture pieces constantly, think chairs that have shallow rails on the floor. I thought the AI was supposed to help with this? It makes a horrible grinding noise and occasionally gets so stuck under one chair that I'm confused why it keeps trying to go over the railing and not around it. Strongly considering a return.

After 3 cleaning cycles of using for 1 week this vacuum cleaner so far my impression is very good.
I had 2 robot vacuum cleaners before. None of the previous ones' vacuum cleaners problems like lossing WiFi or maps or unable to clean/notice the specific area were not observed in this one.
It's smart with good flexible f/w with a lot of options .
It cleans well and fast. The battery discharged to only 76% after 1 hour cleaning.
There is no automatic dust station, which may has the additional issues or expenses for the dust bags, but the internal dust clean space is enough not to clean during this 1st week of use, and it's simple to clean.
It's pretty outspoken repeating all commands and commenting what it's doing.
I'm interested only in vacuuming. I didn't try the moping.
The current pretty good $300 price is a plus.

This thing is pretty good. It can't handle going over a low doormat/rug that doesnt have a grippy pad, and it isnt great at cleaning corners. It does do a really good job vacuuming up pet fur out of carpet, though I highly reccomend the setting that tells it to go over carpet 2x per cycle, because it will miss stuff on the first go around.

i have not had any pet-poo incidents occur, though the detection settings do work well – it saw a "tumbleweed" of dark cat fur on the carpet and avoided it in a neat circle. My one cat is super curious about the robot and will sit in its path, and the robot will just go around her, which is nice that it doesn't bump into her, but then the robot will not go back and go over that missed spot on its own later in the clean.

It is loud on carpet, but what else do you expect? its a vaccuum! but on the hard floor setting it is pretty quiet. I have not used the mop function so I cannot comment on that. It is easy to use and saves me a lot of time, but it does not completely eliminate my need to manually vaccuum. I still have to go back and get in corners, around the table and chairs more thoroughly, and in a few small areas that the robot cant easily get to (like under my desk). But it has saved me from constantly vaccuuming up cat fur and litter which is fantastic and is exactly the use case I wanted it for, so I am very happy with it.

The app itself is mostly easy to use, though there are some pain points I have with it. When the robot maps your floorplan (which is really cool and very accurate) you can assign which areas are carpet, tile, hardwood, etc. But you cannot select a shape other than a square or rectangle. Part of my carpeting it at an angle where my kitchen and living areas meet, and I am unable to accurately enter that into the robot's map which is frustrating, because if I want to use the mop function (which you would have only work on hard floor areas) it will either miss a part of the floor because it thinks it is carpet, or it would attempt to mop carpet which is not ideal, depending on how i label that area in the app.

Well, I have tried several of the mid range robot vacuum especially for pet hair. This one does NOT perform as other reviews have said. I have 4 German Shedders and I vacuum every other day with my upright shark and then I have 4 robot vacuum to run every day 2x a day. I have all wood floors with area rugs. The vacuum itself does ok. It does not return to base when battery is low as the others I have had. They include Roborock, eufy, rumba, sharks 2x, eureka and now this 3i g10plus. I also have a hard time connecting this to my wifi which in turn messes with the schedule set up thru alexa.
The jury is still out. Will probably be sending it back and do more research.
