A Big Upgrade Over Traditional Robotic Pool Cleaners – Futuristic Look
This is my second Wybot robot and I have been a happy customer so far. Just fyi, I manage three pools including my own house and airbnb. After using several robotic pool cleaners over the years, this is the first one that truly felt like a major step forward instead of just a small improvement. My older cleaners mostly wandered around the pool by bumping into walls and changing direction, which worked but never seemed very efficient. This one is much smarter in the way it navigates and covers the pool, and the difference is noticeable after a full cleaning cycle. The suction power is excellent and it has no problem picking up leaves, sand, dirt, and the smaller debris that tends to collect around the edges and corners. I was especially impressed with how well it cleans along the perimeter since those areas usually need extra attention with other robots. This version l very futuristic too. Its well built ad durable. The battery life has been more than enough to finish my pool, and having a quick clean option is a nice bonus for those times when the pool just needs a light cleanup before guests arrive. The app has become one of my favorite features because I can choose different cleaning modes, schedule future cleanings, and keep track of the robot without having to mess with buttons on the unit itself. I also like knowing that software updates can improve the cleaner over time instead of it staying exactly the same from the day I bought it. The overall build quality feels solid while still being lightweight enough to lift in and out of the pool comfortably. Like most robotic cleaners, there is a little bit of a learning curve at first as you figure out the best cleaning modes for your pool, but once everything is dialed in it becomes almost effortless. If you're upgrading from a basic robotic cleaner, this feels like a completely different experience and, in my opinion, is one of the better cordless pool robots I've used. Great value.

Strong Feature Set and Capable Cleaning Performance

This is a fairly sophisticated cordless robotic pool cleaner with a strong combination of cleaning performance, runtime, and convenience. The ability to clean the floor, walls, and waterline makes it considerably more useful than basic cordless cleaners that are limited to collecting debris from the bottom of the pool.

    Pros:

The triple-motor system provides good traction and suction. The roller brushes help agitate debris from the pool surface, while the side brushes are useful around edges and areas that larger brushes may otherwise miss.

I particularly like having separate cleaning modes for the floor, walls, waterline, and combination cycles. There are times when the pool floor needs attention but running a complete cleaning cycle is unnecessary. The one-hour quick-clean mode is useful for routine maintenance, while the advertised 125-minute maximum runtime provides enough capacity for more thorough cleaning sessions.

The cordless design is a major convenience. There are no power cords to manage around the pool, and the robot can be placed in the water, allowed to complete its cycle, and removed afterward.

The app functionality is another useful feature. Being able to select cleaning modes, manage schedules, and receive firmware updates adds functionality beyond what you get with simpler robotic cleaners.

The design of the debris compartment also appears relatively straightforward to access and clean, which is important because emptying and rinsing the filter is something that will be done frequently.

    Cons:

As with most cordless robotic pool cleaners, the biggest unanswered question is long-term durability. Battery degradation, seals, motors, and drivetrain components will ultimately determine whether this represents a good value over several swimming seasons.

App functionality is useful, but I would not consider it a substitute for good autonomous navigation and cleaning performance. A pool robot should perform its primary functions reliably without requiring frequent intervention through a phone.

    Bottom Line:

This is a capable cordless robotic pool cleaner with strong suction, multiple cleaning modes, wall and waterline capability, a useful quick-clean option, and up to 125 minutes of runtime.

The combination of cordless operation, app control, and comprehensive pool coverage makes it a compelling option for homeowners who want to automate a substantial portion of routine pool maintenance.

Assuming the battery and mechanical components hold up over extended use, I think the overall feature set and cleaning capability justify a 5 out of 5 star rating.

This cordless robotic pool vacuum has made pool cleaning much easier for me. It is simple to place in the pool, turn on, and let it start cleaning. The gray silver color looks modern and clean. The edge-to-edge cleaning is helpful because debris often collects along the sides and corners. IT crosses small obstacles better than expected, so it does not get stuck as easily.

I'll start by saying I have a Polaris pressure-driven pool cleaner – the P39, I think? It does great at cleaning whatever ground it covers, but it's so haphazard and random, especially with my irregular-shaped pool that I've never been too happy with it. And dealing with the hose and whatnot is a pain. It mostly just gets stuck in the deep end, and even then somehow doesn't even comprehensively clean that.

So I went ahead and gave this WYBOT thing a go. It's really impressed me.

Basically you charge it up and, when ready, turn it on and drop it in the pool. It'll start climbing the walls and eventually get to cleaning the floor as well. I don't believe this version has any sort of AI or smarts to it, so there is also a bit of randomness, but at least it makes long straight passes and can cover broad sections of the pool in a go.

I let it run for a few hours and went and rescued it from the deep, using the hook they provide. I was actually shocked how much stuff it had captured in its filter box. Each successive cleaning it gets less and less, because there's just less in the pool.

Which is all to say that it cannot clean the whole pool on a single charge, but I have a large, strange-shaped pool so I'm not shocked by that. As long as the pool trends cleaner each time I am perfectly happy with the performance.

As yet I have not even used their app. I haven't felt that I needed to really tweak anything about it, it's just doing really good work as-is.

My one concern is that I don't see a lot of replacement parts available. Polaris will sell you virtually part from their cleaners, and has whole rebuild kits available. And if you're cheap there are tons of third-party folks selling parts too. There are many, many soft rubber parts on this thing that I can't imagine lasting indefinitely, and WYBOT seems to update their products so much there is no telling if they would even keep spare parts around.

So this will almost certainly not have the longevity of a Polaris product but I find it vastly easier and more convenient. With that one caveat, I am very impressed with it.

This WYBOT pool cleaner is really convenient and saves a lot of time compared to manually vacuuming the pool. The cordless design is one of the best parts because there is no cord getting tangled or limiting where it can go.

It feels sturdy and has good suction for picking up leaves, dirt, and smaller debris. The roller brushes help it move along the pool surface well, and I like that it is designed for floor, wall, and waterline cleaning instead of only handling the bottom.

The app control is a nice feature and makes it feel more modern than a basic pool robot. It is also not too difficult to lift in and out of the water, which matters when you are using it regularly.

This is a great option if you want to make pool maintenance easier. It cleans well, is simple to use, and makes keeping up with the pool feel a lot less annoying.

When my dad's Polaris stopped working he picked up a Wybot and he loves it. So when my Polaris started throwing error codes I jumped on the pool robot bandwagon and I'm also sold. First, the price is much lower than any Polaris. (As I write this review, this Wybot is $339.) My first pool cleaner used a booster pump in my pool shed. The next generation plugged into a standard power outlet and required an umbilical cord into the pool. This Wybot requires neither. Plug it in, wait for the full charge indicator and drop it into the pool. It generates a lot of suction because you can see the disturbance on the surface of the pool even when it's several feet under water. It seems to stick like a magnet to the walls of the pool. And as you can see in the picture, it picks up a lot a debris, from leaves to fine particles. For some reason, I notice it gets stuck on one of my stairs fairly often (see pic). I don't have to go free it, but it does get stranded for a few minutes. When it's done cleaning it will park itself near a wall so it's easier to retrieve with the included hook. I have noticed that sometimes the cleaning time is not sufficient to completely clean my pool. This happens when it's really dirty like when we get a lot of wind and I wait a week or so to clean it. So I'm learning to drop this into the water every couple days rather than waiting until it's dirty or we plan to use the pool.

I was tired of dragging hoses around and manually cleaning the pool, so this robotic cleaner was a welcome change. Setup was fairly straightforward, and I had it running without needing to spend much time figuring things out. Once in the water, it moved around with purpose and covered more of the pool than I expected. I found myself checking on it less and simply letting it do its thing while I handled other chores. It picked up a surprising amount of debris that wasn’t obvious from the surface. The app connection took a little patience at first, but after getting everything connected, it was convenient to control and monitor. I also liked that lifting it out of the pool didn’t feel overly awkward or heavy. The overall build feels solid enough to handle regular use around the pool area. It hasn’t eliminated every bit of maintenance, but it has definitely reduced the amount of hands-on cleaning I need to do.

Overview: A capable robotic pool cleaner with app control and solid coverage, but customer service is lacking if you run into issues.

I've tried out this robotic pool vacuum a few times and it works fine. It appears to be made of high quality materials, and the value is pretty good. It runs on a triple-motor system with six rollers total, including side brushes that actually get into edges and corners that most pool vacuums skip over. Customer service is not the best if you need it, so make sure you're comfortable troubleshooting on your own before buying.

It supposedly runs up to 125 minutes on a charge and covers pools up to about 1,200 sq. ft., with a 1-hour quick clean mode for routine maintenance. Cleaning modes include floor, wall, waterline, and a combination cycle, which is more flexibility than most robots at this price point offer. The WYBOT app lets you schedule cleanings and switch modes without being poolside, and it supports over-the-air updates so the software can improve over time. If your pool has an irregular shape, test a few of the different modes to find what works best for full coverage. 🍃

My bot kit came with the bot, a charging adapter, some floating blocks, a hook and lots of literature. The bot is 14.5" x 13.5" x 9" high and the filter inside the bot is large and can hold lots of debris. An app is available to work with this bot and the app is very easy to use because there is not much to it.

Getting the bot ready to work is not hard and the included documentation will help; however, I found some discrepancies. For example, the manual talks about selecting my type of cleaning followed by choosing the cleaning time but I could not find the time option within the app.

Once the bot is in the pool and cleaning, there is no noise at all from the bot. The app advises that the bot will not be able to transmit once it is underwater so this left me in the dark because I had no idea how the bot was progressing with the cleaning, if it was stuck or how much battery power was remaining.

Within the app, I can select either a S-shape cleaning or criss-cross cleaning, and although the bot did go back and forth, I saw no difference in the bot's route between the two. When the bot's battery gets low, it parks itself at a wall so I can use the hook to remove the bot from the pool. Unfortunately, on all occasions, the bot picked a wall that was not as accessible from the top rather than returning to where it started.

I tested this bot by cleaning the floor of my pool after I added a bunch of sand and the bot did a pretty impressive job. It did not get all the sand but almost all on the first run. After 1 hour and 50 minutes, it was depleted. I charged the depleted bot and it was showing 99% after 2 hours and required another 25 minutes to show 100%.

On my last test, the bot failed as it could not climb my concrete walls. It would start up the wall and lose footing after about 1 foot. The manual provides a reference via a QR code on how to install the floating blocks if the bot does not climb the wall. I followed the QR code which led me to a webpage that showed how to modify other types of bots but not mine, so I gave up.

    Sending feedback…

Thanks, we'll investigate in the next few days.
