This is my review of the BrewVox Carbon Infrared Outdoor Patio Heater with Thermostat, Smart App-Controlled Scheduling & Remote On/Off, Timer for Living Room, Bedroom, Garage.

The space heater is an outstanding product. It is meant to be mounted on the wall or ceiling. I am finding the proper place to mount it in my bathroom. I have a relatively small bathroom and am thinking I might make a floor stand so that it may be moved. I did test the product thoroughly and will post a picture of it once I have decided on its mounting.

Being electric, this heater is 100% efficient. It has three operating methods. The first is a dedicated remote control. It comes with a wall-mounted holster and can use either 2 x AAA batteries or a coin battery. DO NOT use both. The battery compartment has a nice safety feature. A screw can be used to prevent children from opening it. The second and third methods involve using apps on your mobile phone or tablet and connecting it to your home wi-fi network. It can use both the TUYA Smart app and the SmartThings app. I tested all three methods, and they work very well. It is more than just a thermostatically controlled heater; it features an innovative heating system to maximise energy efficiency and temperature accuracy.

It is easy to install and comes with excellent installation instructions. It has two brackets for installation, which allow the heater to be angled up or down. I have owned many electric space heaters, and this one is in a whole different class when it comes to sophistication.
This product is well-made and reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it.

A good looking outdoor heater. I got this for a family member, who has a sheltered outdoor porch, since it said it was intended to be affixed to a wall. I decided to go with the more expensive option, which includes a digital readout of the actual temperature. I will update this once he has installed it and used it, but so far it looks like the exact thing he wanted to install for adding a blast of warmth outside on cold days.

It's that time of year when the wind turns cold and snow is in the air. We like sitting on our back deck but when it gets cold out it's not as fun. I don't like the idea of having an open flame on a wood deck so some type of electric heater is nice to extend the deck season.

The BrewVox carbon infrared outdoor patio heater is the perfect electric heater for your deck! I ordered the one with the thermostat and it works great. Carbon fiber heat technology is perfect for outdoor heating as these types of heaters don't have to heat the air to get you warm. It uses infrared heat so they heat your skin. And this heater get plenty warm! In fact, it gets almost hot with it installed above our big sliding glass door sized window. so it sits about seven feet off the ground and throws the heat rays down across the seating area of the deck. This is a high quality heater that works great, is easy to install, and keeps everyone on the deck nice and toasty.

Holy warmth! This thing is fantastic! Super easy to setup. Love that this can be mounted, set down, or put in a heater tripod. This is a fantastic price for the quality received. Its heat output is great especially for our chilly Wisconsin fall/winter/spring. The remote is easy to understand and use. No problems with the buttons not working or being hard to use like other smaller remotes. Love the app function. You can easily turn this on or off before going out to heat up the area. It’s very easy to use. Definitely a great purchase.

I own several infrared heaters: some small, some large and some on stands so you can move them from room to room.

This heater is designed to mounted on a wall which is what I intend to do with it in our small sun room that is attached to the back of the house. It never gets as warm as the rest of the house during the cold winter months and this little heater will be just what I need to warm it up a bit.

I've tested it out am quite impressed. I definitely like the version I ordered with the digital temperature readout on the front. It will also show you which of the four heat settings you have it set to.

It has a safety feature that won't allow it to turn on it's lying on its back.

This slim outdoor heating unit is compact, but does a great job in heating the area around it. It can be surface mounted and control with a remote or an app downloaded to your phone. It’s a very solid and well built metal unit that has some weight to it. Nice that it comes with a built-in thermostat although not sure how effective that would be outside. Controls include strength of heat as well as timer options. I took a short video so you could see it up close and hopefully that will help you determine if it’s something you’d like to have to heat up those cold winter day and nights seems durable solid and is easy to install and operate and heats well so recommended as a good value for your money.

Even though it’s only used six or seven months of the year, our sunporch is one of our favourite rooms; it’s idyllic views and warm coziness make it a place my wife and I want to retreat to and relax in as much as possible. In an attempt to extend the number of days it can be used in spring and fall we’ve been taking steps to make it more user friendly in cool or inclement weather. We’re hoping that this heater will be effective in keeping it just a touch warmer for a touch longer.
Installing the heater was very straightforward and involves installing a small L-bracket on the wall (we had a stud to work with and didn’t need to use anchors), bolting the heater to the bracket, and then adjusting the angle of the device. For us, with large windows and lots of items adorning the walls, the biggest problem was deciding where it could be safely placed (the manual specifies that the unit be at least six feet above the floor as well as one and a half feet from the ceiling and walls). Compounding the issue is the fact that an electrical outlet is required and it’s nice if the cord doesn’t have to cross a floor (the unit comes with a cord that is 8’ long).
The unit offers three control options. The touch controls located on the front panel of the heater itself allow you to turn the device on or off, adjust the power setting (there’s nine heat settings), and operate the timer function. The same options are found on the small, easy to use remote control which accompanies the product. An app can be downloaded so the heater can be controlled from one of your devices; it doesn’t offer much in the way of extra features although it provides more information on what the current temperature is; we will likely depend on the remote for daily usage.
Being an infrared heater, this unit really only heats the objects in a room rather than the air. For our sunporch this is ideal; the device provides heat immediately, warming those in the path of its rays. At 1500 watts, this isn’t a particularly powerful unit and is best used for smaller areas (don’t expect it to heat an entire garage). We’ve found it perfect for the cozy area where we sit to enjoy our coffee and read in the mornings and evenings.
While it doesn’t heat a particularly large area, this device is perfect for taking the chill off the seating area of our sunporch where we like to relax. It’s easy to install, simple to operate, and provides warmth almost instantly; I expect that it will see a lot of use as the weather turns cooler. Recommended.

We have a 3 season room which we actually use in the winter as well off our back sliding patio doors which gets cool in the fall and winter. I saw this BrewVox Carbon Infrared heater being offered through the Amazon Vine program so I ordered it to try.

When the heater arrived and I opened the box the heater was well packaged so it did not move. Removing the heater I also found the remote control, a bag of hardware, a "L" bracket for mounting and the instruction manual.

Once I had the heater fully unwrapped I was intensely looking at it for any defects or flaws which none were found. Further examination showed a caution tag attached to something and showing to remove the 2 foam guards that held the bulb in a sturdy state for shipping. Once I removed those I then went to the instruction manual. The manual is short and there are a couple things I would add to it. For one, for cleaning they say "Use a flat-blade screwdriver to take out the front grill line through the entrance on the frame." Both looking at the grill and surrounding area and rereading the instructions several times I still have no clue where to use the screwdriver and how to remove the screen. They need to add a picture for this procedure. I can see a lot of complaints for damage done trying to remove it. The second issue I came across was there is no picture showing how to add or replace the batteries for the remote. Spoiler alert. You need a small Philips (star shape) screwdriver to unscrew the screw on the bottom of the remote and remove the cover to install the batteries. I am sure a lot of people would be questioning how to do this but since I have come across this situation a few times I knew what to do. I then downloaded the app to my phone via the QR Code in the manual. I also think the manual pictures could be a bit darker to better view the phone picture set up. That is just my preference.

I then proceeded to plug in the heater just for testing purposes. Once plugged in and the on/off switch at the right end of the heater was turned to the on position the display showed a power icon as well as a flashing WIFI icon. I pushed the power icon and the display now showed P0 and up/down icons to adjust the temperature from P0-P9. Yes, there are 9 different heat setting on this heater as opposed to others. There was also a timer icon showing that allows you to set the timer. When pushed the digital screen then displays 00 and by pushing the timer button again you can set the timer from 0-24hrs. To stop the timer and clear it simply push and hold the timer icon for 3 seconds. You can achieve the same thing using the remote or the app on your phone. Pairing the heater to your WIFI is simple and as recommended, do this task close to your router.

I decide to next try the heat settings from the lowest to the highest. When I first set the temp the heater immediately started to emit heat. There was no pause/delay whatsoever. Changing to the next setting the heat increased immediately again. It did this through all the heat settings. The heater on 5 was substantial standing 5 feet away and at the highest setting the heat was amazingly incredible. Once I mount this up to the wood supports I use in the Florida room for the winter this is sure to cover our sitting area with ease.

This heater is lightweight, has great heating range, and is well built. This would be a 5 star item but I have to deduct 1 star for the above 2 things mentioned.

The included controller is simple to use, allowing you to set the desired gear (heat) level and countdown hours. Additionally, the heater can be linked to a WiFi app on your phone or tablet. This app serves as a general-purpose device control app, which works well once you get the hang of it. While setting the gear/heat level and countdown hours could be easier, I find the app a bit confusing because some buttons don’t work as expected. However, the WiFi app is a nice feature, as it lets you check the heater’s status and adjust it remotely. I wish the app would let me do a proper schedule and use clock time instead of countdown hours.

The heater emits a strong heat that’s easily felt from 10 feet away. However, don’t expect it to heat a large space or one that gets extremely cold. I installed it in my 3-car garage, near the door leading into the house. I hope it will keep the area around the door warmer, as we frequently use the garage to dispose of garbage and recycling. Our Canadian winters are very cold, dropping to -20 degrees Celsius (20 degrees Fahrenheit). While my garage is insulated, opening the door even for a minute or two lets in a lot of cold air. If the BrewVox heater can reduce the chill, it’ll be a real help. It’s just beginning to drop below freezing in the past few days, so time will tell.

This is a great add-on heater for any spot, both for indoor and outdoor locations. As our RV/Trailer has closed for the season, we haven't had a chance to install the heater at its permanent location. However, we did test the heater multiple times inside our living room and it's a really easy to use! With both the app and remote options (or touch if the heater is mounted in a spot that can be reached), it's just really easy to control. Additionally, it has various heat settings (9!) and shut off timer – this is basically as customizable as it comes. This will easily replace the heater at our trailer (it only had 2 heat settings). I also wanted to mention that the heater heats the room up almost immediately (reminds me of the heaters at those outdoor patios).

We have a partly closed in carport where we often sit and this does make it easier to extend the season, because the heat warms you up rather than the space.

It was mainly challenging to figure out how to have it 6 feet above the ground and over 1 foot from the ceiling. I'm not sure how strict that is, but it was hard logistically. Ideally I would like to stand this up on the concrete so I can move it around.

But we figured it out and the heat is sufficient. It has different heat settings. There's also a timer. It has a 7.5 foot cord. It comes with a bracket and screws. It's great for any space you have that needs heat where you can easily mount in on a wall.
