Warmth/Function:
It keeps me warm in a 62° room at a setting of 6 out of 9 (using a wall adapter). I haven’t used it for car camping yet, but based on indoor performance, I’m not sure whether setting 9 would be enough for nights in the 45–50° range.
Size:
Good size for one person. On a twin bed, it would hang about 6 inches over each side, and those outer sections don’t have heating elements. It’s 6 feet long, which is fine for me, but taller users might want more length.
Auto-Off:
It has 2-, 8-, and 12-hour auto-off options. Personally I’d prefer something like 2-, 5-, and 8-hour choices.
Cord and Controls:
Cord length is about 7.5 feet, which works well in my Prius. The controls are placed in-line partway down the cord rather than near the top edge of the blanket, so you may end up choosing between having the cord near your head or having the controls near your feet.
Washability:
The listing emphasizes machine washability, but the manual says otherwise. The instructions recommend against machine washing, so I’ll be sticking to spot-cleaning. The connector area where the cord attaches seems to be stitched only through a thinner outer layer, so I’ll handle that area gently.
Packability:
It comes with a simple carry bag, which helps with storage.
Overall:
I’ll use it, especially for occasional car camping, but it feels a bit limited. If you need more warmth in colder temperatures, are tall, or plan to use it frequently, this probably won't make you happy.
